The Rockies are huge and beautiful to relax and enjoy, and we are very fortunate to have such easy access to one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world. There are so many activities to do in these mountains, but there are also some dangers lurking, be it a treacherous area on the climb, a surprising encounter with a wild animal, or encountering a creeper while camping.
There are plenty of creepers everywhere, but this particular guy who was just caught by the San Miguel County Sheriff takes it to another level.
According to KDVR, a man was found near Telluride who was camping illegally and in possession of more than three dozen weapons.
That’s a lot of guns and, in my humble opinion, a bit unnecessary … and also in the opinion of the authorities. The sheriff said the man had been arrested three times in the past two months for possession of guns, meth and burglary.
His campsite, which was illegally set up on private property, was only a few meters from a very popular hiking trail, so the authorities appeal to the hikers who hike here and everywhere to be careful and always be aware of your surroundings.
When hiking, I always have bear spray and a large butcher knife with me in case I see a creeper walking around.
