The US Forest Service says the toll-free day for visitors is National Get Outdoors Day.

KENTUCKY, USA – The Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky waived fees at all resorts on Saturday.

The US Forest Service says the toll-free day for visitors is National Get Outdoors Day.

Park officials say the day was set up to provide an opportunity to explore public land.

On Saturday, June 12th, no recreation fee will be charged at the following daytime usage spaces:

  • Cave Run Lake – all boat ramps outside built-up campsites
  • Laurel River Lake – all boat ramps outside built-up campsites
  • Natural Arch Conservation Area – McCreary County
  • Appletree Shooting Range – McCreary County
  • Keno Shooting Range – Pulaski County
  • White Sulfur OHV Trail – Bath County
  • Redbird Crest Trail – Counties Clay and Leslie

On the night of Saturday, June 12th, there are no overnight charges at the following locations:

  • Backcountry camping in the Red River Gorge – Menifee, Powell and Wolfe Counties
  • Barren Fork Horse Camp – McCreary County
