Lighter and warmer weather combined with several lockdown extensions has resulted in Wagga residents visiting the city’s parks and pathways in greater numbers. Both casual users and professional fitness trainers have found that they have a lot more company during peak times as small groups and households take a break from staying at home orders and try to maintain their workout routines while the gyms stay closed. Many were lucky enough to enjoy the sun on Saturday – and in Wagga a maximum temperature of 16 degrees – before the weather turned around and brought rain showers on Sunday. The last days of winter bring mixed weather, with partly cloudy conditions in Wagga on Monday and a peak of 16 degrees.
