The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is accepting applications for the current Legacy Partnership Program’s scholarship round for outdoor recreational activities until July 31, 2021.
The Land and Water Conservation Fund grants state and local governments 50/50 grants for the acquisition or development of public recreational areas and facilities.
The Home Office has announced that the National Park Service (NPS) will distribute $ 150 million to local communities through the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) grant program. Established in 2014, the ORLP is a nationally competitive grant program available for censuses of designated urban areas (population 50,000 or more). Priority will be given to projects located in economically disadvantaged areas with a lack of outdoor recreational opportunities. Project sponsors must contribute a non-nationwide matching portion of at least one dollar for one dollar to the project. Grant support for eligible projects can range from a minimum of $ 300,000 to a maximum of $ 5,000,000.
DNR will accept applications until July 31, 2021.
Further information can be found on the DNR program page.
